OPTIMAL UTILIZATION OF THE HYDRO-X PROCESS

Where to use Hydro-X

  • - in all steam plants;
  • - in all district heating plants;
  • - in all central heating plants.

Demands to be met

The application of Hydro-X requires the plant to be equipped with an effective blow-down valve or in the case of district heating / central heating plants, a part stream filter. The plant pressure is not to exceed 64 bar. Finally, concentrated Hydro-X is not to be used with zinc, aluminium, lead and concrete.

Application spots

Hydro-X dosing in the feed and boiler water is through dosing pumps or pots, drip devices or hand dosing.

Diluted dosing

Hydro-X softens cold, hard water as well. The softening results in a heavy sludge formation and may possibly stop the intake valve and others. If adding a diluted Hydro-X dose, dilution is to take place with condensate or pre-treated water.

Automatic dosing

Due to simple control and the large safety margin, Hydro-X is suitable for automatic or manual dosing.

 

NORMS FOR HYDRO-X DOSING

 

Suggested norms

Below doses are normal doses. The consultant service of the company Hydro-X A/S or its agents around the world will always undertake regular control of feed and boiler water. The analysis results set the exact dose which is optimal for the individual result.

 

Delivery

Hydro-X is delivered as a liquid ready for use in drums or barrels.

 

 

 

Storage

Hydro-X stands unlimited storage and does not change as long as the packings are selected.

 

Steam plants

  • - Normal dosing: Daily Hydro-X addition into the steam plant;
  • - Start dosing: Hydro-X treatment starts with the addition of 1,0 liter Hydro-X per m^3 boiler water;
  • - Raw water: Mixed with 0,2 liter Hydro-X per m^3 supplementary water;
  • - Treated water: Mixed with 0,04 liter Hydro-X per m^3 make-up water;
  • - Condensate: Mixed with 0,04 liter Hydro-X per m^3 condensate.

District heating plants

  • - Normal dosing: Hydro-X is added to the circulating water;
  • - Raw water: Mixed with 1,0 liter Hydro-X per m^3 added water;
  • - Treated water: Mixed with 0,50 liter Hydro-X pr m^3 added water;

Conditioning control

  • - Simple control: The Hydro-X process simplifies the control of the boiler water as well. p-value, m- value, hardness, pH- value and conductivity give all the necessary information in the case of most boilers;
  • - Analysis equipment: Analyses are carried out with the special Hydrotest-equipment, supplied by Hydro-X A/S. Daily analyses are recommended;
  • - Norm values steam boilers: residual hardness 0 ppm as CaCO3 ; p-value mval/l 10-20 ; conductivity below 7000 µS/cm;
  • - Norm values district heating plants: residual hardness 0 ppm as CaCO3 ; p-value mval/l ; pH-value 9,5-9,8 ; appearance transparent and sludge-less.
